In Mississippi, 31% of children, ages 0-5 years are living in poverty. Another 23% of children are not sure where their next meal is coming from, 54% (per 10K children) are in foster care, and 113% experience Child Abuse and Neglect. HOPE 4 MISSISSIPPI is a Humanitarian Movement that seeks to improve and, in many cases, initiate hope in all people. In our state, just like all around the world, many children are severely going hungry. They look forward to going to school because they depend on the free breakfast and free lunch provided. Academically, they are the least likely to complete high school. Which means, they are most likely - if they survive childhood - to continue living in poverty and being involved in criminal activity. Hope for Mississippi joins the fight that so many pastors, businessowners, and politicians - to include our very own Governor Tate Reeves, have committed to winning. This is War!
